Guwahati to Shillong
100 km up to the Khasi hills, stopping at Umiam Lake. Evening on Police Bazaar.

Shillong
Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, Ward’s Lake, the cathedral and the Don Bosco museum of tribal cultures.

Shillong to Cherrapunji
Nohkalikai Falls, the Seven Sisters, Mawsmai and Arwah caves, and the Thangkharang viewpoint over the Bangladesh plain.

Dawki and Mawlynnong
The Umngot river at Dawki, clear enough to see the riverbed under the boat, then Mawlynnong and a living root bridge.

Cherrapunji to Shillong
Back to Shillong by the Mawkdok valley road, with the afternoon free.

Shillong to Guwahati
Down to Guwahati, with the Kamakhya temple on the way to the airport if time allows.
